Goals

Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS) is a non-profit that asked us to design their new south hub office with a small budget and short timelines. The group is highly engaged with the neighborhoods of Chicago and provides homeownership and financial training courses, which would be the primary use of the space.

Results

The budget of the project could have been a constraint, but with the creative use of materials Canopy was able to design a vibrant space that met the future vision of NHS. During the process we worked closely with neighborhood contractors in order to manage project costs while matching the original design intent of the space.

Officially opening in July of 2019, the NHS South Hub in Chatham now serves as a space that gives back to the surrounding neighborhood and represents the mission of NHS through the design.
