Goals

Jesse Jackson Jr Senior Housing was acquired by POAH in 2019 from the YMCA of Metro Chicago. Originally designed as separate side-by-side communities, POAH combined the two buildings to develop a single 120-unit senior campus. Canopy assisted in the redesign of the subsequent modernization effort.

Results

Property amenities include an improved community room, exercise room, laundry facilities, library, computer room, game room, and generous outdoor spaces, with the addition of new gazebos.

The renovations also provided in-unit updates, with new appliances and improved bathrooms, new roofs and windows, building systems updates for energy-efficient improvements, a new outdoor gazebo, and the installation of solar panels.
