Armando Tobias is an architect with over twenty years of experience providing the full range of architectural professional services. His career’s work includes projects in the public and private sectors and span across numerous building typologies including higher education, institutional, K-12, corporate and housing. Based out of Chicago, he has worked extensively in the local market as well as in central Illinois and western Pennsylvania. Armando is an adept designer, a conscientious project manager and a thoughtful team builder.    

Armando has a career-long interest in using architectural practice as a tool to positively affect social equity. To this effect, Armando has championed not-for-profits, affordable housing, barrier free design and the Principles of Universal Design in his practice. He has presented his work at local and national conferences and is a recognized national figure in the field of universal design.

Armando is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and holds a State of Illinois architectural license. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects. Outside of the office, Armando is an avid film buff and regularly attends live symphonic and operatic performances.
