Joseph Juhl, AIA, NCARB, CPHC
Joe has always had a foot in two worlds: raised in rural Michigan while developing a love for the city and its people from an early age. For Joe, architecture is all about listening to people—placing oneself in another’s frame of reference. And Joe’s experience stepping from one context to another has prepared him for the broad spectrum of client and stakeholder concerns that comes with every project. Joe’s design approach represents the confluence of… well, everything. Past, present, and future. Creativity, science, and philosophy. Health, safety, and beauty. It is his goal as a designer to take all these facets, strategically and responsibly combine them to generate a healthier, safer, and more beautiful future for all. Joe is a licensed architect in the State of Illinois, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC®).
He is all about the well-designed product, be it a building, coffee mug, backpack, or phone case. He also loves roasting and brewing his own coffee, composing poems and short stories while riding the train, and connecting with nature whenever possible, whether in a city park, the Midwest farmland, or the Northwoods.
