Congregation Mita – Rectory

As a part of a large Christian institution headquartered in Puerto Rico, the Chicago Chapter of Congregation Mita selected Canopy to renovate their existing 2-story rectory and garden unit that abuts the main house of worship. The renovated rectory will serve as the primary home for the church’s pastor and other visiting congregation members and guests.

In the initial project stages, Canopy is addressing zoning issues concerning building uses of all the properties present on existing, non-confirming sites, including parking and other ancillary uses throughout each adjacent site. Following zoning procurement, Canopy will continue developing the renovation design placing main priorities in the end-user experience, energy consumption, and thermal comfort.
