jaimeJaime Torres Carmona is a registered architect living and practicing in Chicago. His passion for and sensitivity to people, places, and the built environment developed from living in two densely populated cities – Mexico City and Chicago – and form the foundation of Canopy/ a+d.

Jaime regularly lectures on his design & research work at multiple universities throughout the United States.

Prior to his work at Canopy, Jaime worked as Project Architect with a number of award-winning, Chicago design firms including McBride Kelley Baurer, Booth Hansen and Urban Works. His experience with these firms ranged from single and multi-family residential (renovation and new construction), to office, religious, educational and community-based projects.
